Education
Refugee Alliance International provides educational opportunities to displaced children and youth. The Right To Education is paramount to the future of Palestine and its diverse communities, with the Support Education Program enabling students to achieve industry-specific qualifications. STEM study courses (science, technology, engineering, and maths) provided through the program instill in students important and innovative technology skills. Throughout the program, students learn career skills that allow them to directly address the problems in the camps and to work together to develop community-led solutions. For many refugee children, educational opportunities are limited due to a lack of resources and persistent or ongoing trauma. The Education Support Program works within the refugee camps to not only fill gaps in student’s learning, but to help develop analytical and critical thinking skills. Students are motivated to be involved in their own academic progress through formal and informal education programs, with the goal of enabling students to develop lifelong skills and resilience. Involvement in the program further seeks to establish a respect for diversity among students, with children coming from different cultural or learning backgrounds.
Overview
Education is a fundamental right of every human being and the refugees and displaced people all over the world are lacking the opportunity to receive their education. Nearly half of the all school-aged refugee children are not able to attend school. According to data collected by UNHCR, the refugees with higher educational levels live healthier and longer lives.

Why are we doing this?
Access to education is a basic human right and refugees should not be denied access to it. Access to education will aid the refugees to acquire the necessary skills and knowledge to rebuild their lives and contribute to the development of their local communities. Adding on, it can foster educated refugees to be more understanding, tolerant, empathetic and promote overall social cohesion within the community. According to UNHCR, only 63% of the refugees attend school when compared to the average 91% globally. Looking at elementary school attendance, only 24% of the refugees are able to attend elementary school compared to the global average of 84%. Students tend to fall behind due to catastrophic living conditions and mental health which eventually results in only 1% of the refugees attending universities. The adolescents often lack the motivation to continue their education due to their poor living conditions. Refugee Alliance International aims to equip young adults and children with an education environment to promote refugee’s sustainable future and self-sufficiency.

We are always striving to be in contact with professionals from all over the world to share their careers with refugees and help motivate them into finding their career. Adding on, local competitions coupled with the needed training for the students is implemented in order to motivate the students to participate and motivate themselves to find their passion. In the STEM fields, competitions are held out between students in which they are provided basic training modules as well as the needed equipment to build a small robot that is able to move at a speed, in which the student with the fastest robot would be subjected to prizes. Similarly, training modules are being taught to refugees in which they

The aim of the aforementioned competitions is to provide a basic introduction to engineering for young adults in areas of Civil, Mechanical, Computer and Aerospace Engineering.
